Meet the Team

I joined YMCA Wellington in January 2022 as Support Manager, bringing a strong commitment to supporting young people within our local community. At that time, my knowledge of the wider YMCA network was still developing, but an opportunity to attend the YMCA World Council in Denmark in July 2022 gave me valuable insight into the global impact of the organisation and strengthened my passion for its mission.

After four years in the Support Manager role, and following internal developments within the organisation, I progressed to the position of Chief Executive Officer in March 2026. I am deeply passionate about the future of YMCA Wellington and focused on building on the strong foundations already in place, ensuring we continue to grow and enhance the support we provide to young people across our community.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking up the Wrekin and practising yoga. I am also a strong advocate for individuals experiencing addiction, supported by my academic background including a degree in Drug and Alcohol Counselling from the University of Leicester and an ILM Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, which I achieved with distinction.

I joined YMCA Wellington and District in May 2021 as a part-time Housing Officer. Following my dedication and commitment to supporting residents,

I progressed to a full-time Housing Officer role in December 2021.

In April 2024, I was promoted to Senior Housing Officer, where I played a key role in leading housing services, ensuring compliance, and supporting both residents and staff.

Alongside my professional development, I successfully achieved the Level 4 Certificate in Senior Housing and Property Management from the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), graduating with Distinction in April 2026. In June 2026, I progressed to the role of Service Delivery Manager, where I now oversee the delivery of housing and support services, working closely with teams to ensure high-quality, person-centred support for residents across YMCA Wellington and District.

Since taking up this role, I have developed and implemented a Support Pathway and Practice Framework to enhance the support provided to young people, ensuring a consistent, strengths-based approach that promotes independence, resilience, and positive outcomes. Outside of work, I'm a proud wife and busy mum of four children. When I find a rare moment to myself, I enjoy reading and making the most of some well-earned quiet time with my family.

I began my career in healthcare within the NHS, where I developed a strong foundation in delivering compassionate, person-centred care and supporting people with a wide range of needs. Wanting to work more closely with young people and make a lasting difference, I moved into residential childcare, beginning as a Residential Support Worker before progressing to Senior Residential Support Worker.

Throughout my career, I have worked with young people who have experienced trauma, complex behaviours, emotional and mental health difficulties, and challenging life circumstances. My role involved building trusting relationships, supporting young people through difficult situations, promoting independence, and working alongside multi-agency professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes. Progressing into a senior role enabled me to develop my leadership skills, mentor staff, and help create a safe, supportive environment where young people could thrive.

Looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to further develop my leadership experience, I joined YMCA Wellington & District in July 2026 as Support Manager. I am excited to bring the knowledge and skills I have gained throughout my career into the YMCA, supporting both residents and staff to create a positive, person-centred service that empowers young people to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their goals.

Outside of work, I own a very pampered kitty who certainly keeps me on my toes! In my spare time, I love getting out on my kayak, whether that's exploring peaceful lakes or enjoying time out on the sea whenever I get the opportunity.

I joined YMCA Wellington & District in May 2024 as a part-time Housing Officer at New College. Following my commitment to providing high-quality housing services and supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes, I progressed into a full-time Housing Officer role in 2025, working across our supported accommodation services.

In January 2026, I began studying towards the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Level 4 qualification in Housing and Property Management, further strengthening my knowledge and passion for the housing sector. In June 2026, I was promoted to Housing Manager, where I oversee the delivery of our housing services, ensuring our residents receive safe, high-quality accommodation while supporting the team to deliver excellent outcomes.

I am passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives and believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live in a safe, supportive environment where they can develop the skills and confidence to move forward independently.

Outside of work, I'm a proud mum of three children. I enjoy spending quality time with my children and partner, socialising with family and friends, and relaxing with a good book whenever I get the chance.
