Supported Housing
in Wellington, Telford
We provide supported housing to young people aged 16–25 who are homeless or have a housing need. Support can last for up to two years.
Our tenants often come from extremely challenging situations. Family relationships may have broken down, and some may have been forced to sleep rough or become vulnerable to exploitation.
Our goal is to provide the support and opportunities young people need to start afresh and become valuable, responsible members of the community. Our support team encourages and motivates residents to develop personal skills and improve their financial situation through education and training.
Over time, this helps residents build the confidence to sustain and manage their move-on tenancy without intensive support.
The support that we offer includes:
- Life skills
- Budgeting skills
- Sexual health support. (We are C-Card registered)
- Accessing education or training
- Getting into employment
- Accessing counselling services
- Building relationships with family
- Contacting mental health services
Each resident has a named support worker who meets with them regularly. Together, they create a support plan and work towards the resident being ready to move on when the time is right. This could mean moving to a general needs tenancy, returning to family or even going to university.
We have a dedicated team of staff, with someone available for supported accommodation tenants to speak to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All applications for this service must come through the Telford and Wrekin Nominations Team.
